Fun For the Whole Family

  1. Go Skiing! You might not think of spring as the ideal time of year to get your ski and snowboarding fix, but Breckenridge is the perfect place to experience early to mid-spring powder. If you’re not one for traversing down snowy mountain paths, the world-class resorts are still worth the visit. The Breckenridge Resort is an excellent place to sit back and relax while the others play outside.

  1. Zip Line. From June to September, make sure to check out Breckenridge’s Epic Discovery. This adventure park boasts a lot of fun summer activities for all ages, but maybe the most accelerating is the zip line. Zip above the forest floor at 40 mph and see the beauty of Breckenridge Resort from a new angle. It’s an excellent chance to do something exciting but safe with the whole family.
  2. Go horseback riding! There’s nothing quite like getting on a horse and going for a ride out in the backcountry, with an experienced guide, of course! With the nice weather and the inviting greenery, there’s no better time than the summer to see Breckenridge on horseback. Embrace your inner cowboy and take a trail ride with Breckenridge Stables. From river crossings and beaver ponds to the breathtaking views, this is an activity perfect for each and every family member, regardless of their age.
  3. Visit Maggie Pond. Whether you’ve come to Maggie Pond for the fantastic nearby shopping, or to watch the annual Rubber Duck Race—just visualize thousands of rubber duckies being cheered on by their families as they race along the pond—it’s a sight to see and a joy to participate in. If a rubber duck race isn’t up your alley, there’s still lots to do here. From renting the adult-sized hamster ball to stride across the water to taking a paddleboard yoga class, this is a fantastic spot to spend a sunny afternoon.
  4. Take a rafting trip! Take advantage of the warm weather days with an exhilarating trip down the river! This is a fantastic group activity for your whole family or a group of friends. Breckenridge has world-class whitewater rafting down the Colorado, Eagle, Blue, and Arkansas

Rivers, and while some aren’t for the faint of heart, others have calm breaks between challenging rapids to give everyone the chance to regroup. If getting your adrenaline pumping isn’t quite the experience you’re looking for, Breckenridge is home to many mellow stretches of rafting experiences.
