Breckenridge offers plenty of family friendly activities for family members aged 1-99! Here are some things we recommend for the entire family!
A Few of Our Favorite Family Friendly Activities:
- Epic Discovery: Located at the base of Peak 8, the Breckenridge Fun Park offers a wide range of activities for children of all ages. Enjoy a scenic chairlift ride, race down the alpine slide, bounce on the bungee trampoline, or conquer the climbing wall. Kids can also enjoy mini-golf, gemstone panning, and the SuperPutt miniature golf course.
- Breckenridge Recreation Center: The indoor pool at the Breckenridge Recreation Center is a great destination for rainy days – featuring a waterslide and climbing wall, kids will have a blast!
- Carter Park and Pavilion: Located in the heart of Breckenridge, Carter Park offers a variety of recreational activities for children. Let them burn off some energy on the playground, shoot hoops on the basketball court, or play a game of volleyball or tennis. The park also features picnic areas and open spaces for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors
- Horseback Riding: Treat your children to a memorable horseback riding adventure through the scenic mountain trails. Several stables in the area offer guided trail rides suitable for riders of all ages and experience levels. It’s an excellent opportunity for kids to connect with nature and experience the thrill of riding a horse.
- Lake Activities: Take advantage of the nearby lakes for water-based fun. Rent a paddleboard, kayak, or canoe and explore the calm waters of Lake Dillon. Alternatively, enjoy a leisurely boat tour to admire the stunning mountain views from a different perspective.
- Bike Riding: Breckenridge has an extensive network of family friendly bike paths. Rent bikes and explore the town and its surroundings on two wheels. - Ice Cream: Sample the ice cream options along Main Street – we like higgles, Stir Cream and I Scream Gelato! Who doesn’t like ice cream after a busy day exploring the mountains?
